The XS750 is complete!

January 19, 2016

Its been a while since I posted anything on here but things are moving forward - mostly with the SR250 project bike, but with other parts projects as well.  Since last post, the XS has been completed and we managed to take it out for a proper photo shoot.

First of all, I want to give a big thanks to my first customer, and new good friend David for having faith in me and trusting me to build him his dream ride. The end result is much better than I could have imagined.

Its funny, I have never built something this nice for myself, but I found a lot of motivation in trying to step up my game and realise Davids vision to the best of my abilities. Hopefully, with each build, I will hone my skills and get better and better. I look forward to seeing photos of David enjoying this bike this summer in Stockholm :) Cheers mate!

We had a few set backs on the day of the photoshoot – last minute welding of kickstands, photography equipments stores not having any gear to hire, very little daylight, sub zero temperatures freezing up hands, then buying a generator with too little power!  Portable generators are awesome things but the one we got could not sustain running the standard spotlights for us to be able to see at the shooting location.  Luckily, it was strong enough to power the remote flashes and we got by fumbling in the dark with torches!

It was very handy with David being a photographer – a very talented one at that, with this showing through in these mint photos.  With a little touching up, these came up so nice - thanks man.  Here is one photo from the shoot, the others will follow shortly with a full build spec and writeup.
